Ingredients I didn’t recognize in my Tofurky dogs.

1. Magnesium Chloride -coagulant, comes from sea salt.

2. Calcium Chloride - used as a firming agent, tastes salty, comes from limestone.

3. Wheat protein product - which product is not stated.

4. Dipotassium phosphate - highly water-soluable salt, used for stabilization and preservation

I’m surprised that the only thing that makes me reconsider buying these is the (expeller pressed canola oil/high oleic safflower oil) . Next time someone has nacho cheese in this house, I’ll list for you what’s in that.

I was saddened that even the healthiest looking of wraps had palm oil in them, which is both horrible for you and is being produced in the graveyard of our rainforests. 

But I do make better veggie dogs than Tubby Dog can ever hope to accomplished. Multigrain/flax wrap filled with organic/fair trade ketchup, sweet onion mustard, louisiana hot sauce, olives, 3 cups of dark leafy greens and a warm tofurky dog. This is what I crave and eat instead of fast food. Not feeling sick afterwards is awesome. We should have a vegan hot dog party. If we figure out something gluten free, which we can, even more lovely people will come.
